Online digital PDF signature, without borders
Upload your PDF, choose a P12 certificate, cursive text, drawing or image and download the signed document. Legal validity before third parties depends on your country's regulation and the signature type you use.
Compatible with PDF standards worldwideThe Office Tools Digital Signature tool lets you sign PDFs and contracts from any country, without installing software: choose P12/PFX digital certificate, cursive text, handwritten drawing or attached image. It works in any browser on desktop and mobile, includes verification of signatures already present in the PDF and reusable templates. Always check what type of signature your administration, bank or counterparty requires.

Pick the type of signature that best fits your case and local requirements. From maximum cryptographic security to the speed of an image-based signature.
Certificate-based digital signature
Cryptographic signature with a P12/PFX certificate (PDF standard). Maximum technical robustness and document integrity. Includes certificate verification, configurable visual stamp, and reason/location metadata.
Cursive text signature
Type your name and choose between 4 professional cursive fonts: Dancing Script, Great Vibes, Pacifico or Sacramento. An elegant signature is generated automatically.
Handwritten drawn signature
Draw your signature freehand with the mouse or directly with your finger on touch screens. Works on tablets, phones and computers.
Attached signature image
Import an existing image of your signature in PNG or JPG format. Ideal if you already have your signature scanned or digitized.

Frequently asked questions about digital signing
Is a digital signature legally valid in my country?
It depends on your local law and the signature type. In the EU, eIDAS defines levels of electronic signature and qualified signatures typically have effects equivalent to a handwritten one when the law provides it. Outside the EU, every country regulates electronic signing differently. Cryptographic signatures with a publicly trusted certificate usually offer the highest technical guarantee; image or text signatures may be appropriate for internal agreements but not for every official procedure. For sensitive cases, consult a local legal professional.
What's the difference between a digital and an electronic signature?
Electronic signature is a broad concept: any electronic data attached to a document with signing intent (typed name, image, etc.). A cryptographic digital signature uses X.509 certificates (e.g. P12/PFX) for integrity and authenticity. Office Tools supports certificate signing plus simpler modes (text, drawing, image); pick the level your law or counterparty requires.
Can I sign documents from my phone?
Yes. The tool works in any modern browser on iOS and Android. Touch drawing mode lets you sign directly with your finger. Cursive text mode generates a professional signature just by typing your name — especially useful on small screens where drawing is uncomfortable.
Are signed documents secure?
Yes. All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. P12 certificates are processed exclusively in server memory and never stored on disk or in databases. PDFs are automatically deleted after download. Office Tools never accesses, reads or analyzes your document content.
What does the Pro plan include for digital signing?
With the Pro plan (€10/month) there's no daily document limit. You can sign as many PDFs as you need, individually or in batch (bulk signing with ZIP download). Max file size is 15 MB and you can upload up to 20 files at a time.
Can I verify whether a PDF is already signed?
Yes. Office Tools includes a digital signature verification feature. Upload any PDF and the tool will automatically analyze whether it contains signatures, showing the signer's name, signing date, reason and location of each signature found in the document.
