Which platforms can I format text for?

Today we support four platforms with the right syntax for each: WhatsApp (*bold* _italic_ ~strike~ ```code```), Telegram (**bold** __italic__ ~~strike~~ `code`), Discord (**bold** *italic* __underline__ ~~strike~~ `code`) and Slack (*bold* _italic_ ~strike~ `code`). Each button applies the specific markup so you can paste without manual tweaks.

Is the text I write sent to any server?

No. The editor runs entirely in your browser. Neither your text nor the formatted result is ever sent to Office Tools servers. The draft is saved only in your browser's localStorage, so only you can recover it.

Is the draft saved if I close the tab?

Yes. The editor automatically saves every change to the browser's local storage (localStorage). When you reopen the tool on the same device and browser, the previous draft is restored. If you want to start over, use the Clear button.

Which keyboard shortcuts can I use?

While typing in the editor: Ctrl+B applies bold, Ctrl+I applies italic, Ctrl+U applies underline and Ctrl+E applies/removes inline code. On Mac use Cmd instead of Ctrl. The keyboard button in the toolbar shows all available shortcuts.

Is there a character limit?

The editor doesn't enforce a hard limit. However, remember each platform has its own: WhatsApp allows up to 65,536 characters per message, Telegram 4,096, Discord 2,000 and Slack around 40,000. The live counter helps you keep an eye on it before pasting.

Can I copy the same text to all platforms?

Yes. Write once, apply visual formatting with the toolbar, then click the button for the platform you want. The markdown syntax adapts automatically. You can click several buttons in a row without losing your content.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The interface is responsive and works on modern mobile browsers. Text selection and the format buttons follow the browser's native behaviour. Keyboard shortcuts aren't always available on mobile, so use the top toolbar buttons.
