Does it account for daylight saving time (DST)?

Yes. All time-zone logic relies on the browser's Intl API, which automatically applies each country's DST rules per year. Cities currently on DST also display an orange badge with a sun icon, so you know which cities are in summer time without thinking.

Can I compare several cities at once?

Yes — that's exactly the point. Use the search to add as many cities as you want to your panel. Each shows up as a live card and, when you open the meeting planner, all of them appear in the comparison table at the equivalent time for the slot you pick.

How does the meeting planner work?

Pick a reference city from your favorites (e.g., Madrid) and drag the slider between 0:00 and 23:45 in 15-minute steps. The tool calculates instantly the equivalent time in each of your favorite cities, taking DST and international offsets into account.

Is the displayed time real and live?

Yes. The tool uses your system clock and refreshes every second, so cards show the real time with seconds. Accuracy depends on your operating system's NTP synchronization, just like any desktop clock.

Do I need to install anything or stay online permanently?

Nothing to install: the tool runs in the browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile. Once loaded, the clocks keep working even if you lose your connection — all the time logic is local and favorites are stored in your browser.

Yes, it's included in the Office Tools Starter plan, which is free. You'll need a free Office Tools account to access the dashboard: the Starter plan has no cost, but the account lets you sync favorites with your profile and use the rest of the ecosystem.

Can I switch between 24-hour and 12-hour format?

Yes. The header has a 24h / 12h toggle that switches the format on every card and on the planner at once. The preference is stored in your browser.

Do I lose my favorite cities if I close the browser?

No. Favorites, time format and the planner reference city are persisted in localStorage. As long as you don't clear site data in your browser, you'll find them again on your next visit.

How is the time difference between two cities calculated?

Each card shows a label like +8h, −5h or 'Same time', computed by taking the city's current UTC offset and subtracting the current UTC offset of your reference city. Because today's date is used, DST changes flow into the calculation automatically.

Can I add a city not in the catalog?

The curated catalog includes 100+ cities, but if one is missing, write to us and we'll add it. For advanced cases you can rely on any IANA identifier internally, so zones like Africa/Kampala or Pacific/Apia are supported in the calculation even if they're not surfaced as a featured card.

Can I use the World Clock from my phone?

Yes. The tool is responsive: the clock grid stacks into a single column on mobile, the planner slider works with your finger and modals and selectors are touch-friendly. It works perfectly on iOS and Android from the browser.
